I haven't seen this exercise anywhere else, so I thought I share this. If you want to improve your ankle mobility for deeper squats or prevent running injuries, release your shin (tibialis anterior) makes a big difference. Tibialis anterior are quite sensitive for most people, so you're better off using softer rubber balls than plastic peanuts or lacrosse balls.
Flossing is like myofascial release from inside. The flossing band compresses the tissues against each other and the structures like bones and ligaments and the movement creates shearing in deeper layers improving slide & glide.
